CEO PCBDDA Visited CBD Punjab Project Site

    


 Chief Executive Officer of Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), Mr. Imran Amin visited the CBD Punjab project site to review development on the under-construction parking plaza and Kalma Chowk Underpass Remodeling. The authority which is also known as Central Business District (CBD Punjab), has started projects worth more than 5.7 billion in the heart of Punjab. During the visit, Directorate Heads of PCBDDA and officials of the National Logistic Cell (NLC) were also present.

Executive Director Technical PCBDDA Mr. Riaz Hussain briefed the CEO about the development progress on the under-construction parking plaza and Kalma Chowk Underpass remodeling. During the briefing, ED Technical told that excavation for guide beams of 365 meters long CBD Punjab Boulevard is in progress and will be completed soon. He further added that Wasa and PTCL have started shifting cables and pipelines at Ali Zaib Road. Technical Directorate of PCBDDA has ensured that an ample amount of high-quality necessary material is available on site for smooth execution. 

On the occasion CEO, of PCBDDA Mr. Imran Amin directed the technical staff and contractor to expedite the work and use all the available resources for the timely completion of the projects. He also emphasized smooth traffic flow, he instructed to ensure that proper alternate routes are given in case of road closures due to the construction of CBD Punjab Boulevard. He said these projects will change the development landscape of Lahore and Punjab.

BARD Foundation announces an Endowment Fund for an MBA student at IBA University in perpetuity

Beaconhouse hosts the 15th Edition of the ‘School of Tomorrow’ Conference - ‘Guardians of the Future

          


Beaconhouse, the country’s largest network of private educational institutions, has launched the 15th edition of its flagship ‘School of Tomorrow’ (SOT) Event series today in Lahore, marking the 47th anniversary of the Beaconhouse Group.

The three-day event, themed ‘Guardians of the Future’ will host over 150 global and local thought leaders from various sectors, including education, development, healthcare, technology and digital media, for insightful panel discussions on a multitude of topics relevant to the youth and varying factors impacting the general public.

Beaconhouse 15th School of Tomorrow Conference has come to an end successfully

         

Beaconhouse, the country's largest network of private educational institutions, has successfully concluded its 15th edition 'School of Tomorrow' (SOT) conferences, themed at 'Guardians of the Future’.

 

The three-day conference brimmed with multiple insightful discussions with over 150 global and local thought leaders in education, healthcare, athletics, social and environmental development. Educationists, senior advisors, diplomats, policymakers, and experts from various fields came together to conclude this three-day event on a high note.

 

Focused on current and future educational standards, the opening session of the SOT conference featured a live discussion on ‘Setting Directions for the World of Tomorrow’ and its progress highlighted by CEO of Beaconhouse Group Kasim Kasuri, with the presence of Cynthia Guyer, Dr. John Siraj Blachford, Rashid Rana, and Namira Saleem.

 

Mr. Sean Covey, President of FranklinCovey Education and author of the acclaimed book ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens’, talks to a group of teens about the timeless habits that help teenagers improve their self-image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, and achieve their goals. Furthermore, the discussion provided guidance for the next generation to not only realise their potential but also become efficient leaders of tomorrow.

 

A prominent panel discussion titled, ‘Setting a Stage for Tomorrow’s School’, The discussion addressed the changing role of education and the nature of schools over the next 30 years and beyond. Twenty-eight panel discussions were held, along with five workshops over three days. These talks revolved around creating a better future for generations to come, with improved educational structures, a focused approach towards safer climate, and the role parenting styles, media, and education play in developing a secure future.

 

Another session moderated by popular TV anchor Sidra Iqbal revolved around how economic, climate, and energy crisis have laid gross inequalities across the globe in terms of resource and income distribution. In addition, the link between climate change, global degradation of the natural world, and the outbreak of new viral illnesses have been highlighted.

 

This session features Faizan Siddiqui, Mr. Sikander Bizenjo, a development economist, and Dr. Masood Arshad, Director of Food, Water and Climate, WWF-Pakistan. They discussed strategies and approaches nations, especially developing ones like Pakistan, may adopt to cope with the crisis.

CBD Punjab Commence Construction Work for CBD Punjab Boulevard and Remodeling Of Kalma Chowk Underpass

   Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District (CBD Punjab), has started construction of CBD Punjab Boulevard and Kalma Chowk Underpass remodeling. Authority has also issued a road closure advisory for the project.


Executive Director Technical PCBDDA, Mr. Riaz Hussain while talking to the media said “We are constructing two more barrels from the existing underpass. Over 2000+ pile beams will be installed for the construction of CBD Punjab Boulevard. The rig machine is doing excavation up to 70 ft for sound foundation. In the next phase we will start cage preparation for retention piles. He further added that with the mutual consent of the City Traffic Police the authority has issued a road closure advisory and has placed diversion signs in the city, to avoid any inconvenience for the daily commuters.

The authority has decided to close  Kalma Chowk Underpass  for all types of traffic for a month.In the starting  phase, there will be a road closure for two weeks from Saint Marry Park till Centre Point. Traffic coming from Ferozepur Road and going towards Centre Point will be diverted through Kalma Chowk Underpass towards Centre Point. The authority has planned that they will close the roads for a specific time period in accordance with the development in the construction work to avoid inconvenience for travelers.
